Creating the concept

During a trip to Texel (Dutch island) the idea of protecting people from the rain got its shapes. The starting point was some kind of hood with a scarf attached to it. I drew some sketches and this design we developed further.

The final concept:
“Just two sisters who develop hoods to keep you dry and warm during the upcoming months”

KAPUSJON is a brand that optimally combines fashion and functionality. With the hood every outfit becomes unique and the desire to stay warm and dry during the winter months is fulfilled. KAPUSJON stands for comfort, multifunctionality and originality. The product is a scarf and hood in one and is easy to take on and off. This allows you to make your outfit special at any time. Finally has your favorite jacket, that handy hood.

Implementing marketing strategies

The marketing strategy was very important for our business. By using multiple methods such as SWOT analysis, Ansoff-matrix and AIDA model we gained the knowledge we needed to make the strategy. One of our goals was to generate free publicity at magezine, newspapers, and television shows. Eventually our story was picked up at one of the largest newspapers in The Netherlands (Algemeen Dagblad). It was a proud moment for us.

Product development

The thing that I love the most is to make technical drawing out of sketches. In this case I have transformed my sketch multiple times to create the best version to ask for the patent on. In the end I improved my technical drawing skills.

The end result

During the months we organized a shoot to photograph our product. By using my network for the models and using my sister as photographer we saved a lot of money and time. For this shoot I arranged the models, location and styling. We are very proud of the end result!
